A Family Tradition

The veterinary business is in Dr. Steele's blood. Dr. Heather Steele followed in the footsteps of her dad, Dr. Tom Steele (a 1974 graduate), who enjoyed over 35 years of work with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency as a government veterinarian. Dr. Tom Steele (the original Dr. Steele, in his words) earned the respect and admiration of all he worked with by showing great love for his job, having a strong commitment to the field of veterinary medicine, and having a gift for being compassionate, likeable and approachable.

The values that Dr. Steele learned from her dad are the same values that have always been at South Side Animal Hospital since the days of Dr. McManus and Dr. Nimmons. We at South Side Animal Hospital strive to treat all of our patients as if they were our own and promise to provide high quality veterinary medicine.
